"I love Nascar books. Few other forms of Motorsport are as passionate about that lifestyle and this book captures it. I love how the focus is on the bigger picture too. That God is what we really need. Thanks for such a great read."
"Enjoyed the book."
"This book makes you realize that you have but "one" life. You need to live that life for you, not the way others expect you too. We are all unique, we need to except, and respect everyone. The story is relatable to current day workplace, a woman in a man's labeled profession! The author was fantastic! You can see the transformation of the characters as well as her writing technique!
Fantastic job Anne!!"
"Fun read with a valuable message. The story, improbable as it may seem to those of us who are living "normal" lives, draws the reader in and carries him from adventure to adventure, wondering how it will all resolve. Thoroughly enjoyable. And a terrific example of what it means to live with God in the center of one's life, turning to Him frequently when the vagaries of life leave you wondering, "What now?" And a reminder to , personally, what it means to pray constantly."
"Before I even opened this book, I had an idea of what was going to happen. I'm so happy to say that none of that happened. This book had so many twists and turns I just didn't expect. It's a wonderful, sweet story."
"What If... is a sweet romance with action on the side. Anne Perreault's style is easy to read, and the quick-moving plot kept me turning the pages late at night. There is a strong Christian faith element as the main characters struggle with how to live their faith out in the context of their careers and their relationship. If you enjoy Christian romance with a spy twist, check this one out."
An Unusual Adventure
All books are available on Kindle and Paperback
I absolutely enjoyed this sweet romantic adventure! Judith is very competitive and quite a tease. Dr Austin Harding has loved her since they were children. Most of the time he enjoys her independent spirit. This is the sweetest married relationship I’ve read. Anne and Gilbert Blythe in Anne’s House of Dreams are also a lovely couple. Immediately after marrying (in the first couple chapters), Judith and Austin journey with a reverend, his wife, and another gentleman to open a mission in Arabia with unexpected results.
Relationships evolved realistically with a touch of humor. I loved the vivid descriptions. The plot kept moving forward through an array of interesting events so it was a quick read for me. Best of all the book was completely clean and intriguing. I will enjoy rereading An Unexpected Adventure soon!
I received a free advanced reader copy with no obligation to review. This review is honestly expressed. This is the second book I’ve read written by Anne Perreault.
Far above just a sweet romance, this love story buds, blossoms, and blooms not only in the natural, but in a higher sense of purpose. In the true-to-life characters lives the story of how two people endured hardships for the cause of Christ, which drew them closer to one another in the process. It is an amazing tale of what really could have happened! I thoroughly enjoyed the book and was inspired to remember the truths contained therein!
Journey to Joy
When do you realize it's all in your frame of mind?
I will not summarize this story because it was already given in the description of this book. The purpose of this review was to give potential readers information to make an informed decision about reading this book.
What I liked:
• The author caught my attention right from the beginning and drew me into the story with Joy's predicament.
• I am a horse lover and the thoroughbreds were a major plus to the story, because they played a major role.
• The minor players in the story added depth to the storyline and were well developed.
• Andrew and Joy were characters that you wanted to discover more about as you read.
• Their romance grew at a believable pace.
• The descriptions of locations and emotions were well done and easy to visualize and to feel. I felt a part of the scenes.
• I admire the author's historical accuracy.
• The pacing of the story was neither too slow nor too fast.
• There was a smooth, coherent flow to this book and it was well edited (I read a mobi copy)
• This story had a satisfying ending.
• This novel was a clean read.
• I did not find this Christian historical romance preachy. Religion was just a natural part of the characters' lives. No lectures.
A story of hope
A new-to-me author that took me back in time, with this heartfelt journey!
This book pulled me in right from the beginning and kept me flipping pages late into the night.
I loved that the author Incorporated the history around the Godolphin Arabian, and how it came to be a huge part of Thoroughbred history. She even mentioned Charles Finney, one of my favorite preachers!
I loved all the horses, and it even mentioned the Morgan horse (one of my favorite breeds!).
It was great to find a new indie author that writes engaging historical fiction.
The romance was sweet and it develops gradually.
I recommend to anyone who wants a faith filled story that you can curl up with.
